What is The CUSP?
We call ourselves Universal Spiritualists (US) and we have a philosophy that says that life is a natural progression of events in the evolution of the Universe. It had to happen, and it did happen. Statistically it's happening all the time. Naturally, it's happening all the time. We, as products of this evolution, carry with us a piece of God which some call a soul, or spirit. This Spirit is us, in Gods image; the energy of the Universe encapsulated in the chrysalis of our bodies. One day the metamorphosis will occur and we will all be free to move on. When that day comes, what will you believe? The Truth or the tales? Take a look around, lift your gaze to the Heavens, the answer is there.
What do we believe?
The laws of Mother Nature. In other words, the Universe, or God. We believe that each person needs to hold themselves accountable for their actions and to treat others they way that they would like to be treated. Since we are all Children of God, and made in Gods image, the way we treat our brothers and sisters around the world is essentially how we treat God. The way we treat the environment, especially with personal litter, something that can be controlled by each one of us, tells us a lot about how we feel about God also. God IS the Universe. Remember that next time you throw that cigarette butt out the window, or you aren't courteous to someone around you. Christianity and Judaism are the prime examples of how NOT to act in these situations, with hypocrisy.
Born Again Human
To accept the Universe as God is the next level of human evolution that enables the spirit to understand our relationship with God. To reach this sacred understanding is recognition and acceptance of our places in the Universe, and therefore is what we like to call becoming a "Born Again Human."
